South Florida is known for experiencing high temperatures and humidity during the summer. Residents seek to escape the humidity by leaving on weeklong vacations.  Their homes on the other hand, are left unattended. This can damage the walls, paintings and valuables stored inside.

The installation of a de-humidistat on your air conditioning system can help prevent mildew production with its removal of humidity inside the home. You will be able to enjoy your vacation time without having to worry about the state of your home, once you come back.

Make sure to have your air conditioner temperature set to 80 degrees and it’s on Auto-fan and cool. Your de-humidistat should be set between 60% and 75% lower than that, will just increase your electricity bill.  For more information about ways in which you can help reduce the humidity inside the home with an air conditioner system, contact us.
